I'm a newbie. I know my html/css and especially JavaScript. Just self taught for the fun of it for the past two years. But I never really worked professionally. I was thinking of starting to make some money with the things I have learned. (instead of getting a 9/5 job) I don't want to use a CMS. I just want to create "simple" mobile first websites that are mainly coded in a text editor.
I am still working on my own website. But I was thinking of just contacting people with ugly websites and "renovate" those to start out with. I am 22 and living with some friends at the moment while waiting for a load of medical tests in the next few months. So I am not gonna starve if I don't get enough work.
Is that alright to do this as a beginner, or should I drop this approach?
